This route takes you through everything you’d love to see in the Northern Circuit - the beautiful Lake Manyara National Park OR Tarangire (depending on the time of year), the world famous Serengeti and the UNESCO site of the Ngorongoro Crater. You may not have a lot of time but you’ll have the opportunity to see the Big 5, the Great Wilderbeest Migration and see and learn about the Masaai in this very affordable Northern Circuit Safari (Camping but can be combined with lodges/hotels, and extended or shortened).

Short Itinerary

DAY 1: Moshi Tarangire National Park

We leave your hotel early in the morning and we will take you to Nakumatt, the local grocery store, where you will get a chance to buy any other items you would like to bring on your journey. While everything is included, any additional items like snacks, sunblock can be bought there before we begin. A packed lunch for the day will be provided and enough drinking water for the duration of your trip.

On your first day of many stunning game drives, you will start with Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is the 6th largest Tanzanian Park famously known for its largest concentration of Elephants, Baobab trees and magnificent scenery. After 30 minutes at the national park gate for formal registrations, we embark on a game drive until evening where you will be transferred to Panorama Campsite Moshi Tarangire

DAY 2: Karatu - Serengeti

Serengeti was voted the #1 Safari destination in the world for a reason! Its majestic and awe inspiring beauty is definitely something one should experience in their lifetime. You will be blessed with panoramic views, amazing wildlife and spectacular photos! Serengeti is also the last natural grazing ecosystem in the world and home to The Great Wildebeest Migration, said to be the “greatest wildlife show on Earth”. The Serengeti is said to have over 3 million large mammals and nearly 500 species of birds. It should give you plenty of opportunities to see the “Big 5” in one day (Lion, Rhino, Elephant, Leopard and African Buffalo)!

DAY 3: Serengeti National Park

We will go and explore the different areas of this magnificent park, one of the 10 Natural Wonder Travels of the World, with its sprawling savanna, short-grass plains and their granite kopjes. You can never spend too much time seeing the vast grandeur of the Serengeti.

DAY 4: Serengeti - Ngorongoro Rim

About 20kms across, 600 meters deep and 300 sq kms in area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder and also known as the “cradle of humankind”. This UNESCO Heritage site is also the largest unbroken caldera in the world and boasts the most diverse group of animals anywhere.

DAY 5: Ngorongoro Crater Arusha

Make sure that your camera is ready as you descend to the crater floor. Enjoy the splendor of the magnificent views as it’s a great time for wildlife viewing and sunrise photos. Here you have the opportunity to see lions, leopards, cheetahs, Rhinos and a host of other game species. After a wonderful picnic lunch, we ascend the crater and then towards our next destination.

On this day, your ANDA African Adventure will come to an end. You will leave Arusha and embark on your journey home. We will drop you off to Kilimanjaro International Airport in time for your flight.
