While everything is included, any additional items like snacks, sunblock can be bought there before we begin. A packed lunch for the day will be provided and enough drinking water for the duration of your trip.

On your first day of many stunning game drives, you will start with Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is the 6th largest Tanzanian Park famously known for its largest concentration of Elephants, Baobab trees and magnificent scenery. After 30 minutes at the national park gate for formal registrations, we embark on a game drive until evening where you will be transferred to Rhotia Valley Tented Camp and (hopefully) learn the amazing things Rhotia is doing for the community.

DAY 3: Masaai Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast head towards Lake Manyara National Park with an enroute visit to a Masaai Boma. Lake Manyara is a scenic gem, with a setting that Ernest Hemingway described as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”. Manyara offers a virtual microcosm of the Tanzanian safari experience with hundreds of baboons and over 400 bird species in its lush jungle like forest. You will overnight in the impressive Rhotia Valley, an amazing organization and eco tented camp that should be seen and experienced.

  • Included: Rhotia Orphanage - This organization is one of the most impressive we have ever visited. With its own organic farm and bakery, oh did we mention that they even use biogas and make their own butter? But what makes it even more wonderful is the orphanage that they built and support. Not only is their property beautiful and impressive, but they also have so many different initiatives that contribute to the local community.

DAY 4: Lake Manyara Full Day activities

This day is spent exploring the area through with a Cultural Tour of the area. With the option of biking, hiking or canoeing in the afternoon. The Serengeti was voted the #1 Safari destination in the world for a reason! Its majestic and awe inspiring beauty is definitely something one should experience in their lifetime. You will be blessed with panoramic views, amazing wildlife and spectacular photos! Serengeti is also the last natural grazing ecosystem in the world. The Great Migration, said to be the “greatest wildlife show on Earth” is best seen during June – September (although all year round there is something amazing to see).

Mtu wa Mbu ➡ Serengeti

En route, we’ll pass by the Olduvai/Oldupai Gorge, a place made famous by Dr. Leakey and his wife, a very important paleoanthropological site. Olduvai Gorge is a site in Tanzania that holds the earliest evidence of the existence of human ancestors.

Paleoanthropologists have found hundreds of fossilized bones and stone tools in the area dating back millions of years, leading them to conclude that humans evolved in Africa. This day you will be based at the crater rim overlooking the crater floor.

DAY 9: Crater ➡ Lake Eyasi

About 20kms across, 600 meters deep and 300 sq kms in area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder and also known as the “cradle of humankind”. They are in constant search of wild fruits, wild meat and roots. You’ll have an amazing opportunity to go hunting with them if you want and try your luck with a bow and arrow!
